Twenty-eight-year-old Dallas County Assistant District Attorney Justin Avery Moore was arrested on January 4 on charges of driving while intoxicated, WFAA 8 reported.
According to a police arrest report from the Dallas Police Department, Moore was found speeding, weaving in and out of lanes, and tailgating at 2:45 a.m. on Highway 67 near Loop 12.
The police officers attested to Moore refusing to step out of his vehicle, which led them to take him into custody on suspicion of drunk driving.
Moore has served in the Dallas County DA’s office since July of last year and graduated law from the Southern Methodist University, his LinkedIn profile showed. He is also the pioneer of The Moore Foundation, a non-profit which advocates awareness of mental illness. Moore is currently suspended without pay.
